Naseed Gifted

Naseed Gifted is the Vice Principal at Science Park High School, the No. 1 high school in Newark, N.J. He is dedicated to inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. A New Jersey native, and New Jersey Institute of Technology graduate, Gifted is also the founder of Newark’s Comic Book Festival “Khem Fest.” and “Khem Animation Film Festival”. He is also a two-time Glyph Comic Awards, Urban Action Showcase nominee and 2020 Pioneer/LifeTime Achievement Award recipient, 2021 I CAN STEM NJ inductees, an engineer and writer for an AfroFuturism graphic novel series P.B.Soldier and Jazen, who regularly travels across the country speaking about diversity and ​​using comics to teach S.T.E.M​​.

Something that was once a childhood hobby has since catapulted into a passion to change the face of comics. His mission in his graphic expression is to encompass a distinct balance between unprecedented storytelling and exceptional artwork. Published works include self-published AfroFuturism / sci-fi comic book series: P.B.Soldier “The Awakening” & Jazen “The Rose that grew from the Concrete”; Short stories: Occupy Renaissance City and Terrorist Act of 2011; and Director/Writer: P.B.Soldier “The Awakening” Short Film and P.B.Soldier Animated Short.
